(CO-Op/Internship, Toronto)

Loom Analytics is looking for a full-time Software Manual Testing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and functionality of software applications through manual testing. You will be responsible for identifying defects, reporting issues, and verifying bug fixes. This position has the potential to turn into a full-time job after the end of the co-op term.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements.

• Develop test cases based on requirement.

• Execute test cases manually to identify software bugs.

• Document and report software defects

• Perform regression testing and track them to resolution.

• Assist dev team with code integrations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.

• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices

• Meticulous attention to detail to identify and report even minor defects accurately.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to isolate and troubleshoot issues.

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle.

• Familiarity with testing tools and technologies

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Co-op students in their final semester preferred.

Work Location & Hours

• Office near Fairview Mall, about a 15-minute walk from the Don Mills subway station.

• 30 hours/week, Monday to Friday. 9:00AM to 5:00PM

• Will need to come in to work at least three days a week to work with other members of the team.
