Tell us about yourself

Over the last 15 years, we’ve identified specific criteria that are critical to the success of any new member of our team. Our online application process asks questions that help us identify whether you meet some of these criteria. Instead of asking for a standard form cover letter and resume, we ask for answers to very specific questions. However, in case you have more you’d like us to know about you, we give you an opportunity to do that as well in the text fields.

The recruitment team reviews your application to see if it meets criteria such as English grammar and typing speed, which are key to succeeding at eDecree, and will send you an invite to schedule a phone interview.

A short and sweet call

The phone interview is an opportunity for you to get more information about the role, and for us to get to know you. We can answer any early questions you may have about working at eDecree.

If the phone interview goes well, you will receive an invite to schedule the final test, which will give you a taste of what it’s like to work at eDecree.

The Final Test

We are firm believers in a quantitative way to qualify candidates. This ensures that we have a blind and unbiased hiring process. Our test has three parts to it: Typing speed, Grammar (homonyms and punctuation and Transcription, spanning 50 minutes, and is followed by a 10 minute video call over Zoom.

The recruitment team will then review your test results for accuracy and attention to detail. If you did well, you will be sent an invite to start the onboarding process, including applying for a Criminal Record Check.

Criminal Record Check

When you receive the onboarding invite, you will be asked to request a current Level 1 Criminal Record Check, and the cost for this will be borne by you. Depending on where you are located, the link/physical location to request this CRC might be different. You can click here to request a CRC for Toronto.

As soon as you request the CRC and are able to provide us with a receipt, we will schedule your start date and begin your onboarding.

And you’ll be a part of the eDecree family.
